We were upset to read of the death of Professor Allan McCutcheon on the 3rd of May 2016.
Social media has since lit up with tributes to Professor McCutcheon. It is heart-warming to see this demonstration of the effect that someone who was so generous with time and encouragement can have on the lives of so many people.
As students, we were lucky to be taught by Professor McCutcheon at the Essex Summer School. Since meeting him there he has been constant company on social media, noting our work and backing our progress.
Like many, all across the world, we will miss his presence in our lives.
